About Me

My photo
Darryl Savage
Through my firm DHS Designs, I have played a part in the antiques and design community in Annapolis and Washington DC since the early '90's. A previous career in the hotel industry influenced my proclivity for overscaled objects of art for optimum impact. I travel to France and Italy for fun and business, and have done vignettes at many more antiques shows than I care to remember...from Palm Beach to Connecticut, but mainly in Manhattan. I've been published in many national design magazines, and can be found displaying my wares at my shop on Maryland's Eastern Shore...1 hr. from DC and Baltimore. While I've participated in some great design show houses, such as Kips Bay in NYC and the NSO in DC, my biggest thrill is for my company to have the privilege of working with some of the industry's greatest in their hunt for 'the perfect piece'...creative greats such as Madison Cox,Thierry Despont,Tony Ingrao, Bobby McAlpine, Charlotte Moss, Kelly Wearstler, and Bunny Williams,to name a few, have found DHS Designs to be a valuable resource in their procurement of unusual antiques. These tastemakers, with their incredible talents, are my inspiration.
